James Jungbae Roh is a Professor at the William G. Rohrer College of Business, Rowan University. He holds a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Management from the University of Toledo, alongside an M.B.A. and M.A. in Economics. Dr. Roh teaches Operations Management, Business Process Improvement, and Business Analytics, emphasizing student and community impact through teaching, research, and service. His research focuses on supply chain process improvement, coopetition in platform ecosystems, and sustainability practices, with notable publications in journals like Journal of Supply Chain Management and Information & Management.
Dr. Roh has received multiple accolades, including the Rohrer College of Business Alumni Advisory Council Award (2012, 2016), Innovation in Teaching Award (2013), and Bright Idea Award (2014, 2016). He serves as a guest editor for journals such as Journal of Enterprise Information Management and actively reviews for Decision Support Systems and International Journal of Production Economics.
His research explores intersections between lean manufacturing, supply chain resilience, and digital ecosystems. Notable contributions include studies on coopetition dynamics in Amazon's platform and the impact of analytical alignment on organizational resilience. Dr. Roh also engages in university service, currently serving as Vice President of Beta Gamma Sigma and Advisor to the Asian Culture Association at Rowan University.
