James Perrine served as Professor of Physics at the University of Northern Iowa from 1913-1920 and temporarily in 1961-1962. During World War I, he contributed to government radio communications while on extended leave. His appointments spanned Physics and Chemistry departments (later Science department), with instructional roles beginning in 1909.
