James O. Fiet is a Professor of Management and the Brown-Forman Chair in Entrepreneurship at the University of Louisville College of Business. His work bridges strategy and entrepreneurship, with over 175 publications and leadership roles in academia.

His research spans entrepreneurship theory, strategic management, and social enterprises, focusing on institutional logics, poverty alleviation, and time-space dynamics. Recent publications include Time, Space and Entrepreneurship (2021) and Poverty Alleviation and the Science of What's Possible (forthcoming 2022).
Scientific recognition includes being ranked 5th most productive U.S. entrepreneurship researcher (2009) and 8th globally.
