James Kwang-Ho Chung serves as a Design Fellow at the University of Cambridge's Department of Architecture within the Faculty of Architecture and History of Art, while concurrently holding positions as Unit Master at the Architectural Association (Diploma 19) and Associate Lecturer at the Royal College of Art (ADS 9).
His research pioneers therapeutic spatial frameworks through the studio Therapeutic Forms and Practices, investigating architectural typologies of healing as paradigmatic spatial apparatus. Chung actively contributes to decolonial discourse via Cambridge's UNFOLD initiative, examining power structures in architectural education. His exhibited work (Un)Faithful Seouls at the 2021 Seoul Architecture Biennale demonstrates applied exploration of cultural identity through spatial design.
Chung's interdisciplinary approach bridges clinical therapy, architectural practice, and postcolonial theory, focusing on how built environments mediate healing processes and cultural reconciliation in urban contexts.
