Dr. James Kelly is a Senior Lecturer in Microwave Antennas at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), part of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. He is a member of the WMC Lab and has held academic positions at the University of Surrey and Anglia Ruskin University. His research focuses on reconfigurable antennas, particularly leveraging gallium-based liquid metals for dynamic antenna performance. Dr. Kelly has authored nearly 120 peer-reviewed publications, holds 3 patents for antenna technology, and maintains an h-index of 21 with over 1,400 citations.
His teaching includes courses on Digital Systems Design and Wireless Networks as part of the BUPT joint program.
