James Gwinnutt is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Division of Musculoskeletal & Dermatological Sciences, University of Manchester. His research focuses on long-term outcomes in inflammatory arthritis, including disability, surgery, and mortality, alongside longitudinal analysis techniques like latent class and structural equation modeling. With a background in psychology, he also explores psychological consequences of rheumatic conditions. He serves as Deputy Social Responsibility Lead in his division and co-leads the Epidemiology module for the MSc in Clinical Rheumatology.
Education: PhD in A longitudinal analysis of the long-term outcome of patients with inflammatory polyarthritis (University of Manchester, 2017); BSc in Psychology (University of Bath, 2014).
