معرفی
James R. Gillespie is a Professor of Mathematics at Ramapo College of New Jersey, School of Theoretical and Applied Science (TAS), where he has been teaching since 2009. His research focuses on Homological Algebra, Algebraic Topology, and Category Theory, particularly in derived categories and homotopy theory of chain complexes.
- Education: B.A. from SUNY New Paltz, Ph.D. from Wesleyan University
Research Interests:
Gillespie’s work centers on abstract homotopy theory, exploring model structures on exact categories, stable module categories, and Gorenstein homological algebra. He investigates connections between homotopy theory and Grothendieck duality, with applications to quasi-coherent sheaves and coherent schemes.
Recent Publications:
His research spans topics in K-flat complexes, Ding injective envelopes, and n-coherent categories, contributing to derived categories and homotopy-theoretic approaches in algebraic settings.
Collaborations:
He has collaborated with researchers like Alina Iacob, Sergio Estrada, and Daniel Bravo, advancing theories on duality pairs, model structures, and module categories.
