James Flynn, D.Min., is an Associate Professor of Practical Theology and Director of the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) Program at Regent University's School of Divinity. He has served on the faculty since 2002, previously holding roles as Administrative Dean (2002–2004) and Director of the D.Min. Program since 2006. His research focuses on ministerial health and wellness, digital technology in ministry training, and pastoral care. Flynn holds a D.Min. from Regent University (2002), an M.Div. from Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (1999), and a B.A. from Geneva College (1992).
His teaching emphasizes leadership, administration, and wellness in ministry. Notable publications include Words That Transform: Preaching as a Catalyst for Renewal (2010) and contributions to The Encyclopedia of Christian Education (2015).
