James E. Côté is a full Professor of Sociology at the University of Western Ontario, specializing in youth studies, identity formation, and higher education sociology. He has served as Past President of the International Sociological Association’s Research Committee on the Sociology of Youth (2014–2018) and as Associate Editor of the Journal of Adolescence since 2009. His academic leadership includes founding editorship of Identity: An International Journal of Theory and Research (1994–present).
