James Christopher Pardini serves as a Lecturer of Keyboard and Music Theory in the Department of Music & Performing Arts within the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Saint Vincent College. He directs the College Concert Series and is developing a post-baccalaureate certificate program in Sacred Music. Additionally, he holds dual roles as Director of Music and Liturgy at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Parish and Cathedral Organist for the Diocese of Greensburg.
Education:
- Master of Music in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music
- Bachelor of Music in Sacred Music and Organ from Westminster Choir College
- Service Playing Certificate from the American Guild of Organists
Pardini specializes in Sacred Music with research interests spanning Organ and Piano Performance, Composition, Arranging, and Music Pedagogy. His work centers on keyboard repertoire—particularly Johann Sebastian Bach's compositions—and includes developing academic curricula, creating sacred/secular compositions, and producing orchestral arrangements for major musical acts. He actively bridges scholarly music theory with practical performance applications.
His academic responsibilities encompass teaching private piano/organ lessons, a four-semester music theory sequence (Fundamentals, Harmony I/II, Form and Analysis), and piano lab. Professional experience includes directing nationally recognized sacred music programs at Shadyside Presbyterian Church (recording commercial CD "Be Still, My Soul") and performing weekly on the "Hour of Power" television program at Crystal Cathedral for global audiences.
