James Analytis is a Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, where he joined the faculty in January 2013 as the Charles Kittel Chair in Condensed Matter Physics. He served as Department Chair from 2020-2023 and leads the Quantum Materials Laboratory (Analytis Group), focusing on experimental studies of exotic quantum materials.
