James Alan Fox is the Lipman Family Professor of Criminology, Law, and Public Policy at Northeastern University's College of Social Sciences and Humanities. As a pioneering criminologist, he has maintained the Associated Press/USA TODAY/Northeastern University Mass Killings Database since 2006, documenting 567 mass killings with 2,944 victims. His work spans serial murder analysis, juvenile crime trends, and firearm policy reform, earning him recognition as one of the top 10 most influential figures in criminal justice over the past 50 years.
