Jamein Cunningham is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell University, and an Einaudi Faculty Associate. His research focuses on the intersectionality of institutional discrimination, access to social justice, crime and criminal justice, and race and economic inequality.
He co-founded the Racial Uprisings Lab in 2016 with Rob Gillizeau to systematically document racialized uprisings in the U.S. post-1991, particularly emphasizing the Black Lives Matter movement. Cunningham's work bridges policy analysis with critical race and inequality studies.
