Jamal Ratchford is an Associate Professor at Colorado College, specializing in History, Race, Ethnicity, and Migration Studies. His research focuses on protest and sports, analyzing the discourses of integration in sport and its ties to American exceptionalism. He holds a B.A. in African American Studies from Morehouse College (2004), and an M.A. and Ph.D. in History from Purdue University (2006, 2011).
