Dr. Jakolien van der Meer is a mathematician and lecturer-researcher at HZ University of Applied Sciences, specializing in numerical analysis, fluid dynamics, optimization, and geosciences. She is affiliated with the Supply Chain Innovation research group, focusing on applied research in energy, logistics, and process optimization. Her work includes developing tools for companies transitioning to electric transport and designing simulations for supplier logistics optimization.
Education: Holds a Bachelor's and Master's in Applied Mathematics. Previously, she was a PhD student at TU Delft (geosciences and applied mathematics) and a technical consultant at Sioux LIME, contributing to process optimization projects.
Current projects include Zero Emission Transport (electric vehicle strategy tool) and FTMAAS (supplier information simulation). She also participates in the 5G-Blueprint project.
Research interests emphasize modeling/simulation, numerical methods, and practical applications in sustainability and supply chain innovation.
