Jakob Wimmer

Ph.D. Student at the Institute of Biomechanics, Graz University of Technology, Austria. His research focuses on modeling and simulation of magnetic bead movements for use in Point-of-Care (POC) analysis systems in lab-on-chip applications. Jakob has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer.

Research Interests: Jakob’s research involves computational simulations, mechanical design, and mechatronics applied to biomedical engineering problems such as magnetic bead separation and light propagation in tissue. His work bridges theoretical modeling with industrial applications in lab-on-chip systems.
