Jake Thompson, Ph.D., is a Researcher in Professor Planavsky’s lab at Yale University. His work focuses on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly known as “forever chemicals.” He explores cost-effective and sustainable methods to remediate PFAS-impacted farmlands, particularly those affected by biosolids. His approach combines hyperaccumulating plants for soil PFAS absorption with enhanced weathering techniques to restore agricultural sites.
Based in New Haven, CT, Thompson’s mailing address is PO Box 208109, and his office is located at KGL 227. He holds a Ph.D. and is affiliated with Yale’s environmental research initiatives.
