Dr. Nagasawa's research centers on ancient and medieval Tibetan Buddhist traditions and their contemporary manifestations within Asian American religious communities. His work critically examines historical transmission pathways of Buddhist philosophy while analyzing modern adaptations in diasporic contexts, particularly focusing on identity formation and ritual practice evolution among Asian American populations in the United States.
