Jake Hodder is an Associate Professor at the School of Geography, University of Nottingham, specializing in historical and political geography. He leads the Cultural and Historical Geography Research Theme and co-edits the RGS-IBG Book Series, with affiliations to the Urban Culture Network.

His research explores internationalist thought geographies, focusing on marginalized groups in global governance; U.S. race relations, particularly 20th-century Black activism; and archival infrastructures, emphasizing digital technologies' political impacts. Funded by the British Academy/Wolfson Foundation (2022-25) and ESRC, he is writing a book on post-WWI race internationalization.
Recent publications analyze digital archives (2022), Pan-African Congress geographies (2021), and Black internationalism (2016). He supervises PhD students and teaches courses including European Urban Geographies and Political Geography.
