Dr. Jadranka Petrovic is a Lecturer in the Department of Business Law and Taxation at Monash University. She holds a Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws, and Doctorate of Juridical Science from the University of Melbourne, with additional postgraduate qualifications in International Law, Australian Legal Process, Advanced Legal Theory, and Academic Practice.
Her research focuses on international law, including international humanitarian law, cultural heritage protection in armed conflicts, international trade law (especially WTO and free trade agreements), and intersections of AI, animal rights, and law. She accepts PhD students and supervises research in public/private international law and business law.
Her recent publications center on legal pathways for decarbonization, climate justice, and sustainable international trade frameworks. She actively contributes to academic discourse through conferences (ILA, ANZSIL, ESIL) and editorial work for the Journal of Public International Law.
Dr. Petrovic is multilingual and holds memberships in ALTA, ILA, ANZSIL, APCML, MIGR, CCHRL, IAGS, and LSA.
