Jade Kenna is a Lecturer at the School of Health Sciences, University of Notre Dame Australia. She is currently completing a PhD in clinical neuroscience at the University of Western Australia through The Perron Institute and School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the role of the gut microbiome in neurodegeneration, particularly in Parkinson’s disease. She coordinates, lectures, and supervises projects in anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience courses.
Education:
- BSc (Honours) in Neuroscience, Anatomy, and Physiology from The University of Western Australia
- PhD Candidate in Clinical Neuroscience (UWA/Perron Institute)
Research Interests: Jade’s work examines the interplay between gut microbiota and neurodegenerative processes, with a focus on Parkinson’s disease mechanisms. She contributes to interdisciplinary projects in clinical neuroscience and has co-authored multiple journal articles.
Teaching & Supervision: Jade teaches anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience courses, supervising student projects in these areas. She is active in curriculum development and academic mentorship.
