Jad Silbak is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northeastern University, affiliated with the Department of Computer Science and funded by the Khoury College Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship. Prior to this, he held a postdoctoral position at Tel Aviv University under Benny Applebaum.
His research lies at the intersection of Cryptography, Privacy, and Complexity Theory, focusing on:
- Secure computation protocols and oblivious transfer
- Differentially private algorithms and communication complexity
- Error-correcting/detecting codes under computational constraints
- Non-malleable codes and entropy-based cryptographic constructions
- Derandomization techniques for bounded models
Publications highlight advancements in code design for computationally bounded channels, cryptographic lower bounds, and privacy-preserving protocols. He has presented at top-tier venues including CRYPTO, STOC, and FOCS.
Scientific awards include:
- Khoury College Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship
He has served as a teaching assistant at Tel Aviv University and the University of Haifa for courses in algorithms and computational models.
