Jacques Lawarrée

Jacques Lawarrée is a Castor Professor of Economics at the University of Washington's Department of Economics. His research focuses on contract theory, corruption mechanisms, and regulatory economics, particularly examining incentive structures in procurement and organizational settings.

His publications analyze corruption equilibria using game-theoretic frameworks, optimal contract design under moral hazard, and experimental learning in contractual relationships. Recent work emphasizes anti-corruption mechanisms and information structures in organizational monitoring.

Lawarrée teaches graduate courses in microeconomic theory and contract theory. He previously served as Department Chair (2011-2014) and maintains research collaborations with the European Centre for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics.
