Jacques-Henri Jourdan is a CNRS researcher affiliated with LMF (Laboratoire Méthodes Formelles) at Université Paris-Saclay, specializing in formal verification and programming language theory. His research focuses on applying formal methods to practical programming languages, particularly Rust, using the Coq proof assistant and Iris framework.
His research interests span program verification, Rust programming language security, abstract interpretation, separation logic, and concurrent systems. Jourdan has made significant contributions to the RustBelt project, which formally verifies the safety guarantees of Rust's type system.
His publication record shows consistent contributions to top-tier conferences including POPL, ICFP, and ESOP since 2016, with recent work focusing on time credits in separation logic, relaxed memory models, and formal verification of concurrent data structures. His research bridges theoretical foundations with practical programming language implementation.
As an active member of the programming languages research community, Jourdan has served on program committees for major conferences including POPL and ICFP, demonstrating his standing in the field.
