Jacquelyn Grace

Jacquelyn Grace is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology and Conservation Biology at Texas A&M University, part of the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Her research focuses on understanding animal responses to environmental change through ecophysiology, behavioral ecology, and avian ecology. She currently serves as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Bird Science, Guest Editor for Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution, and co-Chair of the Gulf of Mexico Avian Monitoring Network’s Avian Health Working Group.

Education: B.A. Biology (Willamette University), Ph.D. Biology (Wake Forest University). Her work bridges ecological and physiological mechanisms to address conservation challenges, emphasizing stress physiology, urbanization impacts, and avian health.

Recent publications highlight urban stressor effects on birds, conservation management strategies, and physiological adaptations to environmental changes. She collaborates widely on projects involving coastal bird conservation, contaminant effects, and avian health monitoring.

Professional activities include editorial roles and leadership in avian health initiatives. Her lab integrates field studies with lab-based physiological analyses to advance conservation practices.
