Jacqueline Rosenjack Burchum

Jacqueline Rosenjack Burchum is an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Nursing, where she joined in July 2005. She holds national certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), with expertise in pharmacology and advanced clinical pathophysiology.

Her research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning, particularly in enhancing online nursing education. She has pioneered online course development since 1998 and contributes to program quality assurance through roles such as NCLEX-RN Item Writer, CCNE on-site evaluator, and Quality Matters peer reviewer.

Dr. Burchum’s scientific accolades include multiple teaching awards and editorial contributions to the Online Learning Journal and International Journal of Transcultural Nursing. She co-authored influential nursing pharmacology textbooks, including Lehne's Pharmacology for Nursing Care and Lehne’s Pharmacotherapeutics for the Advanced Practice Provider.
