Dr. Jacqueline Bede serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Plant Science at McGill University's Macdonald Campus. Her research focuses on sustainable agricultural systems with emphasis on plant-environment interactions and stress management.
Her primary research interests include:
- Plant resistance mechanisms against pathogens and insect herbivores
- Plant-insect interactions under elevated CO2 conditions
- Development of biopesticides and analysis of insect detoxification mechanisms
