Dr. Jacqueline Allen is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Griffith University, Australia, with a career spanning academic research and teaching since 2019. She is also a member of the Griffith Centre for Mental Health (2022–present) and the Griffith Criminology Institute (2016–present).
Her research focuses on the development of antisocial behavior and mental health issues from childhood to young adulthood, particularly how substance abuse (alcohol, cannabis) intersects with these problems. Key findings include the role of parental drinking in adolescent alcohol use and the impact of early marijuana use on educational outcomes. Recent projects examine post-pandemic youth offending (2021) and digital tools like Rumble's Quest to measure child wellbeing.
