Jacopo Bonchi

Jacopo Bonchi is an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) at the University of Bologna's Department of Economic Sciences. His research focuses on macroeconomic policy design, monetary and fiscal interactions, and macro-finance linkages. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Sapienza University of Rome and previously served as a Research Fellow at the University of Pavia, Sapienza University of Rome, and LUISS University, alongside an Assistant Professor role at Bicocca University of Milan.

His work examines critical issues such as declining natural interest rates, the role of social security systems, and the impact of asset price bubbles on monetary policy effectiveness. Notable contributions explore policy responses at the zero lower bound and the stabilization role of public debt.
