معرفی
Jacob Parker is a Research Fellow in Neurology at Yale University's Yale School of Medicine, primarily affiliated with the Adams Center for Parkinson's Disease Research. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, including oxidative damage repair, mRNA processing, and DNA damage responses. He has contributed to studies on UCHL3's role in chromosomal repair and the interplay between m6A methylation and mRNA export. His work bridges neurology, biochemistry, and genetics to advance understanding of cellular processes relevant to Parkinson's and other disorders.
Research Interests:
- Oxidative stress and gene regulatory elements
- Epigenetic regulation via mRNA modifications
- Proteostasis pathways in DNA repair
Key Publications: Parker et al. (2022) elucidated oxidative damage repair mechanisms; earlier work (2018) explored m6A's role in mRNA export and UCHL3's regulation of topoisomerase-induced break repair.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Adams Center for Parkinson’s Disease Research, contributing to interdisciplinary studies on neurodegenerative mechanisms.
