Jacob Mills, also known as Dr. Jake, serves as the lead course instructor for Clinical Biomechanics and Motion Palpation at Parker University since January 2024, while maintaining a private clinical practice specializing in aerialist and circus performer rehabilitation.
He graduated from Parker University in 2018 and spent five years (2018-2023) practicing in Lima, Peru before returning to the United States to focus exclusively on circus performer care. His educational trajectory demonstrates a dedicated clinical path from graduation through international practice to academic instruction.
Dr. Mills' research centers on biomechanics and sports medicine with hyper-specialization in circus arts rehabilitation, addressing unique injury patterns and movement demands of aerial performers. This niche focus bridges clinical practice with performance physiology to develop targeted rehabilitation protocols for high-risk artistic disciplines.
As an active speaker for Parker Seminars, he contributes to continuing education in chiropractic sciences, extending his expertise beyond the classroom to professional development forums.
