Jacky Chow serves as an ATS Associate Lecturer in the Department of Physical Therapy within the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta, teaching core courses for the Master of Science in Physical Therapy program.
His educational background includes:
- MSc in Physical Therapy, University of Alberta (2007)
- Bachelor of Engineering, University of Calgary
- MPP in Public Policy with focus on health policy and social policy, University of Calgary (2020)
With extensive clinical experience in acute care settings, his primary research focus centers on neurological rehabilitation. This clinical expertise is complemented by academic interests in health policy and social policy derived from his public policy graduate work, creating an interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation science education.
He currently teaches PTHER 524 (Professional Issues I) covering professional ethics, communication, and client-centered care principles, and PTHER 555 (Therapeutic Physical Agents) focusing on evidence-based application of physical modalities in treatment protocols.
