Jack W. Lipton is a Professor and Chair of Translational Science and Molecular Medicine at Michigan State University (MSU) College of Human Medicine. He holds concurrent appointments as Teaching Faculty in MSU's Neuroscience Program and Associate Dean for Research Analytics. His career spans leadership roles at Rush University Medical Center and University of Cincinnati before joining MSU in 2009.

Dr. Lipton's research focuses on developmental neurotoxicology and translational Parkinson's disease models. Current projects investigate alpha-synuclein pathology, Nurr1 gene regulation, and saliva-based SARS-CoV-2 testing protocols.
Prominent scientific achievements include continuous NIH funding since 1993, the Morris K. Udall Center of Excellence in Parkinson's Research, and over 50 publications. His lab's 2025 study on alpha-synuclein fibrils and 2022 saliva testing framework demonstrate methodological innovation.
