Jack Ullrich-Lüter

Dr. Jack Ullrich-Lüter is a postdoctoral researcher at the Museum of Natural History (Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Research) in Berlin. He serves as a project leader for the DFG-funded project ‘Towards the vertebrate eye–exploring photoreceptors of basal deuterostomes’ under Dr. Carsten Lüter's research group.

Research Focus: His work explores the evolution of photoreceptor systems in basal deuterostomes (echinoderms and enteropneusts) using integrative morphological and molecular methods. Techniques include in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, SEM/TEM, µCT, computational modeling, and bioluminescence studies.
