معرفی
Jack Rogers is an Associate Professor in Psychology and Youth Mental Health at the University of Birmingham, affiliated with both The Institute for Mental Health and The Centre for Human Brain Health (CHBH). His research focuses on neurobiological and psychological aspects of youth mental health disorders, particularly conduct disorder and psychosis risk.
Rogers' research interests span conduct disorder, callous-unemotional traits, gray matter volume analysis, sex differences in mental health, schizophrenia, and youth mental health interventions. His work frequently employs neuroimaging techniques to examine brain structure and function in clinical populations.
- Specializes in neuroimaging studies of conduct disorder
- Investigates white matter microstructure in youth with behavioral problems
- Examines sex differences in neural responses to emotional stimuli
- Develops cognitive assessment protocols for psychosis research
His recent publications (2021-2025) show a strong focus on neurobiological correlates of conduct disorder, schizophrenia research, and psychosis prediction. These works demonstrate increasing collaboration across international institutions and methodological sophistication in neuroimaging approaches. Key trends include examining sex differences in neural responses, investigating white matter microstructure in clinical populations, and developing standardized cognitive assessment protocols for large-scale international studies.
Rogers serves as Principal Investigator for the Psychosis MRI Shared Data Resource (Psy-ShareD) project funded by the Medical Research Council and is Co-Investigator on multiple significant projects including PRESCIENT (funded by NIH) and mTBI-Predict (funded by US Army Medical Research). His ESRC-funded Safe Gaming project developed guidelines for youth online safety during the pandemic.
He leads and participates in research teams focused on neuroimaging of mental health disorders, particularly at The Centre for Human Brain Health where he contributes to multimodal imaging studies of youth mental health conditions. His work bridges clinical psychology, neuroscience, and data science approaches to understanding developmental psychopathology.
