Jack Ridenour is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Wayne State University. With over 40 years of experience in automotive crash safety, he has worked extensively in accident reconstruction, vehicle safety analysis, and crash test evaluation. His career at Ford Motor Company spanned 37 years, during which he held roles such as Chief Engineer Vehicle Safety and Manager Accident Reconstruction and Testing.

Mr. Ridenour’s research focuses on automotive safety, collision analysis, and real-world accident investigation. Since 2001, he has taught BME 6130 - Accident Reconstruction and Analysis at Wayne State University.
He actively contributes to the automotive engineering community as a peer reviewer for SAE papers and participant in SAE committees. His professional certifications include Licensed Professional Engineer and Accredited Traffic Accident Reconstructionist.
