Dr. Jack McNeill is an Associate Lecturer at the University of York (School of Arts and Creative Technologies) and a Guest Lecturer at the University of Winchester. He holds a BA (2012) and PhD (2021) in Music from the University of York, supervised by Dr. Federico Reuben. His research focuses on dance music cultures, electroacoustic composition, and participatory arts, blending practice-based research with community engagement.

Research Interests: Jack explores intersections between club culture, electronic music production, and collaborative arts education. His work emphasizes participatory practices, such as creating accessible orchestral-electronic pieces for youth, and critically examines spaces like nightclubs as cultural instruments. Recent projects include installations at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (Glasgow) and collaborations with artists like Bryony Simcox and Thomas Rosser.
