Jack Lin is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Atmospheric Research, University of Oulu, and serves as a LINXS Fellow. He held Guest researcher positions for Working Group 2 (Human impact and Pollution) at LINXS during October 2023 and February-March 2024.
His research centers on atmospheric science, utilizing aerosol experiments and synchrotron radiation spectroscopy to investigate how aqueous surfaces influence cloud droplet formation—a critical process for climate modeling and pollution impact assessment. This work bridges environmental science, climate dynamics, and aerosol physics, with implications for understanding anthropogenic effects on atmospheric systems.
There is no available information regarding academic advising responsibilities or research grants.
Lin leads the experimental group in Oulu specializing in aerosol characterization via advanced spectroscopy techniques, directly contributing to the Environment and Climate theme at LINXS through targeted pollution and cloud formation studies.
