Jack Kennedy is a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science at the University of Greenwich (since November 2021). He holds a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Trauma Sciences from Queen Mary University of London (2023), with an undergraduate paramedic degree from Greenwich (2019). His research focuses on paramedic practice value, healthcare culture, and patient safety through qualitative analysis. He contributes to the Centre for Workforce Development research group.
Teaching responsibilities include leading Anatomy & Physiology for Paramedics and directing the postgraduate Trauma CPD program. He advocates for technology-enhanced learning to bridge pedagogical theory and clinical practice. Clinically, he specializes in trauma and acute vasculopathies, co-developing a clinical pathway for vascular emergencies with South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Prior to academia, Kennedy worked 9 years as an NHS paramedic, including roles in primary care, event medicine, and international repatriation. He volunteers with St John Ambulance (19 years) and sings in the University Choir.
