Jack Blumenau is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Quantitative Research Methods at University College London (UCL), and Programme Director for the MSc Data Science and Public Policy. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics (2016) and is a Senior Evaluation Advisor at the UK Cabinet Office’s Evaluation Task Force. His research focuses on how policymakers use evidence in decision-making, electoral outcomes, and political representation, employing advanced quantitative methods. He leads a UKRI-funded project improving government impact evaluations and has published extensively on legislative behavior, public opinion, and policy analysis.

Teaching: Leads modules in quantitative methods, causal inference, and political representation at UCL. Co-directs a cross-disciplinary MSc program combining political science and economics.
Current Projects: A UKRI Metascience Grant-funded initiative analyzing the reliability of government impact evaluations through many-teams and multiverse analyses.
