Jack Badawy

Jack Badawy is an Associate Professor (Clinical) in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He serves as Co-Director of the Hospital Medicine Fellowship and is an academic Hospitalist at University Hospital. His career includes roles as Assistant Professor (2017–2024) and recent promotion to Associate Professor (April 2024). Dr. Badawy is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2016.

Research interests focus on medical education across learner levels, evidence-based practice, and professional development. He actively seeks M.S. students for research collaborations. Awards include the 2024 UT Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence and 2022 Educator of the Year recognition.
