Jacek RÓŻAŃSKI

Dr. DSc, Eng. Jacek RÓŻAŃSKI is a Professor at Poznań University of Technology, Faculty of Chemical Technology, where he works in the Institute of Chemical Technology and Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering and Equipment. He serves as Deputy Director of the Institute of Chemical and Process Technology, is a Member of the Senate Committee on Laws, Statutes and Regulations, and acts as Head of the Program Council of the Pharmaceutical Engineering program.

His academic journey includes obtaining an MSc in Engineering in 1996, a PhD in 2002, and completing his habilitation in 2015 with the thesis "Pressure losses and heat transfer during the flow of surfactant solutions." His educational background demonstrates a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles and fluid mechanics.

Professor RÓŻAŃSKI's research focuses on Technical Rheology, particularly the phenomenon of flow resistance reduction, Multiphase flows, and Heat and mass transfer processes. His work bridges fundamental fluid mechanics with practical applications in chemical engineering. His research has evolved from studying basic flow phenomena to developing advanced surfactant systems with applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and industrial processes.

His recent publications demonstrate a strong trend toward investigating viscoelastic surfactant solutions, with particular emphasis on microstructure-property relationships, emulgel technology, and applications in drug delivery systems. His work spans both fundamental research on micellar structures and practical applications in skincare products and pharmaceutical formulations, showing a clear progression from theoretical studies to real-world applications.

Professor RÓŻAŃSKI actively supervises doctoral students, with recent dissertations focusing on emulsion formation using dynamic membranes, rheological properties of carboxymethylcellulose solutions, and surfactant applications in fertilizer technology. His research collaborations include institutions such as KU Leuven in Belgium and various Polish industrial partners, highlighting his international scientific engagement.

He teaches courses in Chemical Engineering, Introduction to Chemical Engineering, Technical Rheology, Process Kinetics, Mixture Separation Operations, and Economic Analysis of Industrial Processes, demonstrating his broad expertise across chemical engineering disciplines and commitment to academic education.
