Jacek Jagielski

Prof. Dr. hab. Jacek Jagielski is a faculty member at the University of Arts in Poznań, where he runs the 7th Sculpture Studio at the Faculty of Sculpture and Spatial Activities. He has held significant academic roles, including Vice-Rector for Artistic Affairs (2008–2016) and Dean of the Faculty of Artistic Education (2002–2005, 2005–2008). His career spans over three decades, encompassing teaching, administration, and artistic practice.

• Education: Faculty of Painting, Graphic Arts and Sculpture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań (1979–1984), graduating with distinction in sculpture and drawing.

Jagielski’s research and artistic work focus on sculpture, spatial activities, and the intersection of technology and human interaction in art, as evidenced by his projects like ‘Carnival of Cyborgs’ and ‘Modernism in the Mirror of Contemporary Art.’ His exhibitions and pedagogical initiatives highlight his contributions to contemporary art and artistic education.
