Jacek Gołębiowski

Jacek Gołębiowski is a Professor at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Spanish World Studies, Politics and International Relations. He serves as Senior specialist at the Center for Research on Polish Diaspora Organizations Abroad, focusing on Polish communities in North America and Europe.

Research Interests include Polish diaspora history, religious institutions in emigration, cultural heritage preservation, and political thought of Polish emigrants. His work examines parochial education systems, archival documentation of Polish settlements, and ideological currents in exile communities.

Projects highlight the Polish Cathedrals Lexicon series documenting US parishes, photographic inventory of Polish churches in Illinois and Wisconsin, and analysis of Polish press in France and the UK. The 50 Lat Działalności Ośrodka Badań nad Polonią (2022) synthesizes his institutional research.
