Dr Jac Billington is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology, Faculty of Medicine & Health, University of Leeds. She also serves as Deputy Head of School and Athena SWAN lead, and teaches on the Perception module and Major Project Systematic Review.

Research Interests:
Dr Billington’s work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, vision science, and human factors. Using EEG, fMRI, eye-tracking, psychophysics, and virtual environments, she investigates how the human brain extracts visual information to guide voluntary action and self-motion. Specific foci include camouflage detection, collision-avoidance in driving, and the neurocomputational bases of decision-making under threat.
