JORGE LOPEZ CASTROMAN

JORGE LOPEZ CASTROMAN is a Professor at the Department of Psychiatry within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Seville. His research focuses on clinical psychiatry, suicide risk assessment, and the integration of digital technologies in mental health. He holds a doctoral degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid, where his thesis (2008) explored the diagnostic stability of bipolar disorder under the mentorship of Dr. Enrique Baca García and Dr. Ignacio Basurte Villamor.

His work emphasizes multidisciplinary approaches to mental health challenges, including studies on suicide prevention, psychedelics in therapy, and pandemic-related mental health crises.
