JOANNA KREFT

Joanna Kreft, Ph.D., serves as an Assistant Professor and Research and teaching teacher at the Institute of Violin Making Instruments, where she combines scholarly research with academic instruction in specialized craftsmanship disciplines.

Her research centers on the interdisciplinary field of violin making, encompassing technical construction methodologies, acoustic properties of string instruments, historical musicology of luthiery, and artisanal craftsmanship traditions. This work bridges scientific analysis with hands-on instrument fabrication techniques within her institute's specialized framework.
