J.L. Miller serves as the Interim Dean of Spiritual Life and Chair of the Religion department at Houghton University. He teaches courses in Youth Ministry and holds a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation from Tyndale Seminary Toronto. His academic journey includes a B.A. in Student Ministries from Geneva College and an M.A. in Youth Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Research Interests: Youth ministry, adolescent culture, emerging adults and faith formation, spiritual formation, ancient spiritual practices with youth, and healthy learning in church contexts.
