J. Mark Barker

J. Mark Barker is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2012–present). He previously held academic roles at Louisiana Tech University, including Lecturer (2003–2012) and Assistant Professor (1998–2012). His professional experience includes engineering roles at General Dynamics (1988–1998), where he worked on propulsion systems and model testing. His research focuses on engineering education, flow diagnostics, and vortex structures.

Education: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (1998, Clemson University), MSME (1992, Clemson University), and BSME (1984, Louisiana Tech University).
