Dr. J Anthony Rossiter is a Reader and School Director of Education at the University of Sheffield's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He holds degrees from Oxford University and has extensive experience in both research and education. His technical research focuses on predictive control, particularly optimizing algorithms for computational efficiency and deployment on low-level systems. In education, he champions technology-enhanced learning, mathematics support for engineers, and collaborative curriculum design. He has held key roles such as chair of Learning and Teaching Committees and contributes to numerous university committees. Dr. Rossiter is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has authored influential textbooks like A First Course in Predictive Control. His work includes collaborations with international researchers and supervision of multiple PhD students.
